Grilled Beef Short ribs with Creamy Mushroom Sauce

  • 200g U.S. Short Ribs
  • 50g Mixed Mushrooms (finely chopped)
  • 30g U.S. Butter
  • 20g U.S. Flour
  • 100ml Cooking Cream
  • 50ml U.S. Beef Stock
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Oil

Directions

  1. Season the short ribs with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat, add oil, and place the short ribs in the hot pan.
  3. Cook the short ribs on each side for 1 minute or until golden brown.
  4. Set the short ribs aside and let them rest for 5 minutes before cutting.
  5. In the same pan, sauté the mushrooms.
  6. Add the butter to the pan.
  7. Once the butter has melted, stir in the flour until well mixed.
  8. Pour in the beef stock and reduce it by half.
  9. Add the cream to the pan and bring it to a boil.
  10. Adjust the seasoning, slice the short ribs, and place them on a plate.
  11. Spoon the mushroom sauce over the short ribs.
