U.S. Pacific Ocean Perch with Garlic Butter Sauce

Ingredients

4 U.S. Pacific Ocean Perch Filets
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup dry white wine
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Directions

1.Begin by patting the perch filets dry with paper towels.
2.Season them with salt and pepper, then lightly coat them with flour, shaking off any excess.
3.In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
4.Add 1 tablespoon of butter and allow it to melt.
5.Place the perch filets in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until they turn golden brown and are cooked through.
6.Once done, remove the filets from the skillet and set them aside.
7.In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
8.Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1minute until it becomes fragrant.
9.Be cautious not to let the garlic brown.
10.Pour in the white wine and lemon juice. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly and let the flavors combine.
11.Return the cooked perch filets to the skillet. Spoon the garlic butter sauce over them and cook for an additional minute to infuse the flavors.
12.Just before serving, sprinkle the chopped parsley over the fish and sauce.
13.Plate the perch filets and drizzle the remaining garlic butter sauce from the skillet over them.
14.Serve your delicious Perch with Garlic Butter Sauce with a choice of sides that complement the dish, such as steamed rice, sautéed vegetables, or a light salad.
